Chimes at Midnight

Chimes at Midnight. Thursday, April 20, 2017. Doors open at 7. Show starts at 8

Hosted by R4 Red Room Radio Redux

“With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.” – Shakespeare

This April marks the anniversary of Shakespeare’s 453rd birthday!

Hie thee merrily to the RED ROOM to celebrate the life of the Bard with recreative regalement, plenteous brewed beverages and torrential thespian histrionics!

Red Room Radio Redux invites you to a staged reading of CHIMES at MIDNIGHT enhanced with music and sound effects in the tradition of radio drama.

Our script is an adaptation of a film released in 1965 directed by and starring Orson Welles.
The narrative follows centers on Sir John Falstaff, one of Shakespeare’s famous fictional characters who appears in several of the Bard’s “history plays”, (most notably Henry IV parts 1 & 2).
Amidst adventures in warring and wenching, the heir to the throne of England must choose between loyalty to his father, King Henry IV, or Falstaff.

There will also be a special guest appearance by the
LARP (Live Action Role Playing) knights who are always willing to do battle for a noble cause! Our charity is listed below: we humbly beseech you to donate generously with your hearts!
