Edward Chiang, July 2012

Dear Red Room,

I missed last month Red Room event, because I got the big change to visit San Francisco from my business trip, and attended Apple World Wide Developer Conference to stayed there over a week, and I use Twitter to save my moments of words. And I would like to share with you today.

  • Who is Edward Chiang? But you are Chiang Chung-Chuan! … After all, went to member service line to explained for the badge name.
  • Next to the Moscone South, waiting for the afternoon #Pilgrimage to #Cupertino. #WWDC
  • ShawnKing: Can’t sleep. Watching WWDC Keynote. Does any other tech company make “Thank You” videos that make grown men tear up? Remarkable.
  • There are heartwarming stories out there of what the combination of our incredible devices and your amazing apps have made in peoples lives.
  • The T-Shirt what people wear represented the past, right now, and the future. #WWDC
  • I left my bugs in San Francisco.
  • During #WWDC session break, my favorite DJ plays song is “Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know.”
  • Fuel your body, feed your Mac. #WWDC

I want to thank you all Red Roomers for help building the international global world wide culture at the Red Room, been a Taiwanese like me to have a trip and to stay at the US never be so easy, because it’s just only need to read, speak, listen English like we do right here every month.

Best regards,
Edward Chiang

Edward’s Summary of Red Room, February 2012

Every Red Room gathering is a unique experience to be had. With that in mind, its difficult to fully appreciate the culture and form of the Red Room based on a single visit. The Lunar New Year event was a warm, and intimate event. This latest one however, was overflowing with explosive characters alongside poetic blends that I was overjoyed to be surrounded by diverse crowd of people with intriguing backgrounds. Old friends and new, it was an exciting social event to say the least. Stage time & Wine, filled with music, poetry and the range in emotion from confident performances, to the shy and hesitant.

Edward Chiang- the best of me, October 2011

October 6, that morning when I was on my way to work, I was in the metro using iPhone to check out is there any news around my friends. I saw one friend posted, “Rest in Peace to Steve Jobs.” I said what are you talking about? Then I changed social network to make sure that’s not a joke. But Facebook, Twitter, Plurk all shared the Biggest news: Steve Jobs has gone forever. Apple official website had changed the whole homepage for Steve Jobs… I suddenly couldn’t control myself, I held my iPhone very hard, and grieved over Steve Jobs’ death for few minutes, looking through the passengers, feeling how Apple products have changed our daily life.
