Red Room is proud to host this very special Dream Day Music Concert. We welcome the Red Room community to join us in an evening of music, dance and celebration, and give these students a helping hand in their mission to introduce Taiwan indigenous culture to the world.

我們，一群來自全台不同族群的輔仁大學原住民族學生
聚在一起，夢想要讓台灣原住民族的聲音飛揚到世界各個角落
曾經，我們的腳步踏過菲律賓及印度，將原聲唱進南島故鄉
而今年暑假，13個人，7個族群
受邀前往美國舊金山及奧勒岡州參與美國原住民族一大盛會-Pow wow 節慶
用歌聲頌讚上天賜予大地萬物，以歌聲傳遞對祖先敬愛，對文化的熱情
讓世界驚豔臺灣 讓臺灣綻放世界

We are a group of thirteen indigenous students from seven of Taiwan’s tribes, gathering and dreaming of promoting Taiwan indigenous culture to the world. We have visited the Philippines and India, spreading our voices to Austronesia and South Asia.
This summer we have been invited to San Francisco and Oregon State for the biggest festival of American indigenous tribes – Pow wow. We praise God and nature through our voices and show our respect to our ancestors and our culture.
We invite you to join us and make Taiwan stunning to the world.

Before we head off to America, we will be hosting two music events on June 17th and June 24th, “Dream Day,” to help us fundraise.

June 24th 7:00pm at Redroom-Taiwan Air Force Innovation Base (TAF) 2F Library
(No. 177, Sec. 1, Jianguo S. Rd (Intersection of Jianguo S. Rd. and Jinan Rd.) Taipei City)

We will be performing traditional dance of Pangcah, Pinuyumayan, Atayal, Bunun, and Paiwan tribes. Furthermore, we will integrate the traditions to create the modern celestial voice. If you are interested to reserve the ticket, please check the ticket information on our Facebook fan page.

Through a combination of traditional music and dance, you can see our enthusiasm of passing down our cultures and our desire to promote indigenous culture around the world. We invite you to enjoy our culture and show our wonderful treasure island – Taiwan to the world.

今井田歌來自日本，
是位演奏傳統弦樂器—三弦，歌唱的吟遊詩人。
他在世界各地流浪，在劇場唱歌，
依靠節日在街角生活。

他的歌是誕生自日本土地的藍調、
即興出生的詩。
遊走舞蹈與戲劇，
廣泛參與許多獨特樂人的共同演出，

是對人生微妙之處悉數盡知的男人，
並且是音樂親愛的旅人。

我的音樂著根於傳統日本古典與民間音樂，然而我時常演奏我自己的音樂。

1948 日本相生市生
1970 移居加拿大 卻在那開始三味線音樂興趣
1972 回日本京都學習三味線
1978 美國加州與華盛頓的大學巡迴演出
1997 發行專輯《綠地》“Green Earth”
2013 澳洲巡迴專場

Tota Imai’s Shamisen Journey

Tota Imai comes from Japan, he is a singing and traveling poet,
with his Japanese traditional pluck instrument the shamisen.

He wanders the world, singing in theatres,
and living the festivities around each corner.

His music stems from Japanese earthy blues and poetry born from improvisation. Crossing between dance and theatre,
engaging in collaboration with many unique musicians.

He is a man who understands the subtlety of life and a dear traveller of music.

My music is based on traditional Japans musics of classical and folk .however I often play my own music as well.

1948 born in Aioi- city
1970 emigrated to Canada but there,began to have an interest
about shamisen music
1972 backed to Japan to learn shamisen in Kyoto
1978 concert-tours in the States,visiting the universities
of California, Washington,etc.

Wang-Cheng, brings you his guttural hymms, reflections of the depth of the life he has experienced, telling the story of the desert wanderer.

Be present with him as his unique sound unfolds – contemporary folk interwoven with the deep emotion molded through vissiticudes that only a planet wanderer can convey. Wang-Cheng has journeyed throughout the musical world for over half a century, carving countless soul-baring tales into history through song.

In recent years, WangCheng spent his time roaming the earth, exposing himself to local lives in many places in order to understand the ancient wisdom of the ever-changing. His understanding of what we only faintly remember brings healing to the forgotten. He sings of the expanse of the desert and grasslands, as well as the travelling souls in each of us.

王城 – 來自生命底層的哼唱，記載大漠與流浪者故事

從王誠到王城，一個是清新民歌，一個是流浪滄桑，王城已在音樂世界走過近半個世紀，寫下無數動人樂章。

八零年代，王城曾與陳明組成當時最另類的民歌二重唱，唱紅許多首大家耳熟能詳的歌曲，包括「蝸牛與黃鸝鳥」、「小小羊兒要回家」以及「秋蟬」，他們用獨特的唱法與絕妙的合聲傳唱當代的抒情思想和純真浪漫，聆聽同時沉重的心靈也隨之飛舞，是四五六年級生共同的療癒時光。

近年來，王城花很多時間流浪，接觸各地民族的生活方式，感受當地自然的千變萬化，將其融入歌曲中，用民族獨有的唱腔傳達古老智慧。王城曾說：「我總是玩著聲音，向大自然的寬廣無為學習，我注重音樂的性情與整體感，只有在一氣呵成，尋找歌謠的生命特質，如同人的生命氣質。」

王城的歌聲彷彿來自生命底層的濃烈情感，運用渾厚低沉的喉音唱出旅人的滄桑，也唱出大漠與草原的無垠，激起新式的浪漫風格。

《Mafana樂團》
2007年，五個來自台東的小孩，
因為同樣熱愛音樂，
而組成了MAFANA樂團。
『MAFANA』即阿美族語有不知道之意，
因為取團名不知道要叫做什麼名字，
最後就取名為MAFANA，
樂愛用創作音樂來分享故事，
用音樂來宣洩情緒。

Formed in 2007, five kids came together from the east coast with a common passion for music and Mafana was born!
Though we’re unsure on what it really means in the Ah Mei tribe dialect, we decided to go for it. With joy and pleasure we create music as a way of expressing our inner emotions.

【鼓手 林瀚】來自台東都蘭。個性開朗，鼓齡20年，擅長搖滾，抒情、放克、曾在各地點大小型活動參與，目前在MAFANA樂團擔任鼓手一職，用節奏喚起你的靈，用音符燃燒你的魂。
【林瀚 Drummer】From Dulan Village in Taidong.
An open personality, he has been drumming for 20 years playing soft & hard rock, funk, and other genres of music. Currently enrolled with the Mafana group to awaken your soul beat by beat, with musical notes to set you alight!

【團長 Sufin Paylang Takami】
台東都蘭阿美族人。開朗活潑的個性在舞台上喜歡與台下觀眾互動，熱愛唱歌與創作。
Band Leader Sufin Paylang Takami From Dulan Village in Taidung, a member of the Ah Mei tribe. A lively soul and presence on stage, he knows how to interact with the audience.

【吉他手 Fawu阿輝】 台東縣成功鎮博愛里重安部落，阿美族人吉他彈了13年，擅長曲風: Rock、 Slow Rock、 Blue ，還會打鼓及貝斯，參與過2013、2014阿米斯音樂節的演出，不時還會在外擔任許多音樂老師的代班鼓手，熱愛音樂，喜歡用自已的吉他說故事。
【Guitarist , Fawu 阿輝】 Taidong County, Chengong Town, in BoAi Li, ChongAn Village, Ah Mei tribe.
Has played guitar for 13 years, with a steady interest in rock, slow rock, blues, and occasionally the bass guitar and drums.
He has been a drumming and rhythm instructor for multiple Amis performances and festival dates, and uses the guitar as an essential instrument to tell his stories.

【Bass手 林奕賢】
花蓮玉里鎮宮前鄉的阿美族人。
接觸貝斯三年，參與過阿米斯音樂節以及一些小型的演出，擅長爵士、抒情、搖滾，在MAFANA樂團裡擔任貝斯手，以低沉的音色襯脫出我們的真實。

【主唱Gu Jiang賴聖和】
屏東縣春日鄉古華村排灣族人。
擅長曲風: Rap Rock Music R&B 另外也有詞曲創作，創作靈感來自生活。
