Christian J Hansen is an American artist who has been living in Taiwan since 2010. He is currently working on my MFA at Taipei National University of the Arts. He held his first art show in kindergarten, when he made animal sculptures out of newspaper, egg cartons, and anything else he could find. He made tickets for his classmates but, after his mom told him he couldn’t invite them, he invited his family instead. In high school, he entered one of his paintings into a class exhibition, but it was politely rejected. He takes imagery from variety visual traditions and mixes them  with classical themes in modern settings.
