Listening to the sounds of the Universe – Gong Bath

Gong sound notes are beautiful and strong vibrations, a gong bath constantly stacked over top one another, Like water droplets hitting the surface of your skin, as if washing the body under the waterfall of the sound of gong. Gong is the only musical instrument that can tap into the inner depths of the divine creation of space vibrations. The sound of the gong is the soul. When we strike the gong, it is just as the percussion of the universe, into the vast galaxy whirlpool washing body and mind. Sonic makes us calm, relaxed, but also closer to the inner self.

Session lead by Julie Chiu (facebook.com/julie.chiu)
Acoustic Resonance
Received training from international gong master Don Conreaux, Himalayan singing bowls sound therapists and other training, held a 2015 gong tour in Taiwan, 5 sessions in total. Acoustic Resonance” Facebook community now has more than 850 members, regularly organize various acoustic events and introduce a variety of foreign films and knowledge about sonic healing.

Follow us with dancing limbs, deep breathing, physical and emotional release of negative energy, then completely relax listening to the operation of the stars of the universe, give yourself a quiet night.

20 December 2015, In and Out of the Box

Creativity & Innovation Training:
Think In & Out of the Box
Everyone tells us to “Think out of the box!” But no one tells you what the box is. Come and learn about The Box, and how to think out of it.

Sunday December 20 2015
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Reserve your space here.

In this powerful workshop participants will receive a specially designed physical box that represents the invisible box that limits their creativity. Through a number of interactive and reflective exercises, they will identify the boundaries to their thinking, appreciate the positive function of “the box,” and learn simple techniques for thinking both in and out of the box.

Agenda
1. What is “The Box” we are supposed to think out of? What is the origin of the phrase “Think out of the box,” and what does “the box” represent exactly?
2. Brand the Outside of The Box – The outside of “The Box” represents our public thinking. Participants personalize the outside to reflect the thinking that they make public.
3. Make the Inside of “The Box” Meaningful – Each of the four faces inside the box represent a different boundary to our thinking. By identifying what those boundaries we are, we can then know when we are thinking beyond the box, and when we are still inside the box.
4. Experience “In the Box Thinking” Participants complete tasks with the box on and off their head to clearly identify the difference between in the box and out of the box thinking.
5. Identify Key Learnings What are we learning about the invisible box that limits our thinking through this process? What tools and processes can we use to think more effectively both in and out of the box?

Reserve your space here.

R4 xcarol 112415A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a ghost story originally written by Charles Dickens, has been adapted for radio-drama and will be performed live by Red Room Radio Redux. This is the timeless classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge who learns from Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future and is transformed from the most miserly to a most generous of gentlemen.

Performance in English

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens a story of transformation.

The richest man in town, Ebenezer Scrooge, is also the most miserable and mean-spirited man. He despises Christmas and the holiday carols sound like caterwauling to him. “Humbug!” he says of Christmas and its notion of charity. In his opinion, there are plenty of workhouses and prisons to look after the poor and ill-stricken.

Unable to comprehend anything beyond materialistic values, Scrooge’s moral soul is being eaten alive by greed. But he does not realize the severity of this damage until he receives a visit from the ghost of Jacob Marley, his old business partner who died on Christmas Eve seven years prior. Marley’s spirit bears heavy chains made of objects that symbolize the burdens of greed. Marley warns Scrooge that if he does not mend his ways, he will suffer a worse fate. Scrooge’s only hope lies in lessons from three Ghosts–the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Will Ebenezer Scrooge be able to break the chains of greed in time?

A CHRISTMAS CAROL was first published in the fall of 1843 when Dickens’ financial situation was in a depleted state. Desperate to sustain himself and his family, he published a series of Christmas stories using his own funds. A CHRISTMAS CAROL was the first of the series and it was, and still is the most popular tale. Six thousand copies were sold in the first few days of its release but, because Dickens had set the price of the book at five shillings, his profit did not match his success.

The popularity of this heartfelt story continues to thrive and, for Red Room Radio Redux, it is becoming a Christmas tradition. For R4, part of our goal is to act as a portal to the western culture and so A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a becoming a Christmas tradition in the Red Room community as well.

Wang-Cheng, brings you his guttural hymms, reflections of the depth of the life he has experienced, telling the story of the desert wanderer.

Be present with him as his unique sound unfolds – contemporary folk interwoven with the deep emotion molded through vissiticudes that only a planet wanderer can convey. Wang-Cheng has journeyed throughout the musical world for over half a century, carving countless soul-baring tales into history through song.

In recent years, WangCheng spent his time roaming the earth, exposing himself to local lives in many places in order to understand the ancient wisdom of the ever-changing. His understanding of what we only faintly remember brings healing to the forgotten. He sings of the expanse of the desert and grasslands, as well as the travelling souls in each of us.

CMO, an orchestra with vocal music. The group now has ten members: a half of Amis and a half of Taiwanese. Due to this special combination, they find their own way to create a music which has two different bloods in it. CMO had won ‘the music of music’ award in 2013 and 2014 Taipei Fringe Festival
